We’re starting to receive comments from sites regarding solicitation from advertisers claiming to be working with the ‘Yellow Pages’ or other similar companies. Please keep in mind the following…
- We do not advertise in phone books for any property, under any circumstance
- Beware of ad solicitations that look like invoices
- Invoices appear to be authentic by using familiar logos and names of local directories
- By signing or paying these will often times lock you into a contract
- Cashing checks from these companies can enroll you into a commitment either in the yellow pages or internet advertising. They can be difficult to challenge
- Often times they will call asking to speak to someone in charge of advertising. By simply confirming your address could lock you into some type of commitment
