Translation and Interpretation Services
Good afternoon,
In continuing efforts to provide excellent customer service and in some cases required by law for federally funded projects, we would like to remind you that Cambridge does provide translation and interpretation services when needed. Services available include document translation and interpretation services.
Site staff is always authorized and instructed to offer and utilize translation services for purposes of interpreting to anyone showing up or contacting your property that speaks a foreign language, or that shows signs of limited English proficiency. This includes but is not limited to: Residents, Applicants, Prospects, and applies to any phone calls, email correspondence, and in-person interactions. Use of on demand/in-person interpretation services and/or document translation services is pre-approved at your community and does not require any supervisor approval.
If you have someone in your office or on the phone with limited English proficiency that needs interpretation, simply call the on demand interpretation services provided and follow the instructions on the attachment in this packet. If you need any document translation services or need to coordinate a future meeting using in-person translation services, please utilize BTB Language Solutions, the additional interpretation/translation service provided, or contact your supervisor for assistance.
Please see the following items in the attached packet:
- BTB Language Solutions Scheduling Instructions
- CLI Instruction Card for Over the Phone Services
- Language Translation Services Flyer
- The Limited English Proficiency Plan
- Contact List for Translation Services
- Certified Languages International Instructions for new Automated Dial Out Services
Clearing an Applicant
We realize that not all applications are approved for move-in. When this happens, whether denied, cancelled, or withdrawn, the applicant needs to be cleared from the system.
In order to clear an applicant from Yardi, please remember to first complete the deposit accounting function. Example of applicants that may need deposit accounting include cancelled applications where the prospective resident previously paid a portion or a full security deposit. . However even if there was no deposit/execution put down, a deposit accounting must be completed, there would just be no charges to add in and we don’t mail the statement out to them.
Unit | Tenant | Name | Move Out | Status |

Please see the attached Yardi instructions for further information and don’t hesitate to call your regional manager or property accountant with additional questions.
Please make sure all office staff are familiar with this process.
Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month
The end of the pandemic is getting closer, but the crisis is far from over. Experts predict that the U.S. won’t return to any kind of normalcy until at least early fall, leaving leaders to create new ways to protect employees against burnout, anxiety, and other conditions. According to a study by Spring Health (via SHRM), 76% of U.S. employees are currently experiencing worker burnout and 57% say worries about COVID-19 have been a contributing factor, leading to “COVID-fatigue.”
Please download the attached Mental Health America’s 2021 Toolkit by clicking the button below. Within the Toolkit, you can find resources, email templates, and flyers to use throughout the month and beyond. Whether its “COVID-fatigue,” generalized stress and anxiety, or one of life’s many other problems, its important to know that help is available, and many times at no cost to you.
Stay safe out there!
