Receipt Book

When cash is received from either current or prospective residents, a receipt must be provided. The receipt book must be a pre-numbered, duplicate style. These are readily available at an office supply store. Some residents may ask for a receipt when paying with a check . One can be provided when requested, however, a receipt is not required for non-cash forms of payment.

Whether it is for payment of rent or an application fee, if cash is provided, you must immediately provide a written receipt. Include the date of the receipt, amount, reason for payment, name of the person providing the cash and your name. When posting the cash payment to AMSI, enter the receipt number in the check field.
