Once a resident’s Notice to Vacate is received, the Site Manager should schedule an inspection of the apartment at least two weeks prior to the scheduled move-out date in order to assess what will need to be done to prepare the apartment for the next move-in. A form in the eforms program is available when conducting the pre move-out inspection called Itemized Statement Following Initial, Pre-Vacating Inspection (#C396). This form allows you to estimate painting, cleaning, carpet, and other turn-over costs. Contact the household on notice prior to their move-out date to schedule an appointment for the final move-out inspection.
